Between early autumn and late spring, skiers find varied ski slopes totaling 30 km in the snow-sure glacier skiing area of Senales Valley. After a rapid descent, it takes just a six-minute ride on the Senales cableway to take skiers back up to an altitude of 3,200 m a.s.l.
High Altitude Training on the Glacier

Not far from where Ötzi, the 5,000 year-old ice mummy was discovered, the international winter sporting elite prepare themselves for the racing season in this high mountain environment. Skilled skiers find over 40 training slopes and cross-country ski tracks for high altitude training.
Ski and More in the the Senales Valley
Between the end of September and mid-December, numerous cross-country skiers and biathletes of various nationalities train for the upcoming racing season on the 5-10 km Hochjoch cross-country ski trail, at an altitude of 3000 m. And the sun-kissed Lazaun plateau has a leisurely 2 km cross-country trail.
Families and groups can enjoy the 3.3 km long Lazaun sled run. The windy downhill run is nothing but pure winter fun!
Ski Touring in the Realm of the Glacier
With its easily accessible summits and challenging routes, the high Alpine environment in Senales Valley offers a variety of ski touring experiences. Especially during springtime, some of the tours are most worthwhile.
