Skiing and Snow Fun in the Heart of Austria

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Toten Gebirge and Warscheneck Mountains, the ski region of Hinterstoder-Wurzeralm is located in the south of the Austrian Province of Upper Austria and is easily accessible via the Pyhrn Motorway (A9).

With a top elevation of 2.000 metres above sea-level, Hinterstoder ski resort and its 40 kilometres of trail are very snow reliable. Wurzeralm offers relaxed skiing on 22 kilometres of trail.

Hinterstoder and Wurzeralm SunnyKids Parks are ideal for the wee ones to learn their first turns on skis.

Hinterstoder is the only world cup venue in Upper Austria and features the demanding Hannes-Trinkl-World Cup Course, a snowboard fun park and a fun trail  –  an adventure trail for young and old and 14 state-of-the-art lifts.  

Wurzeralm ski area boasts 8 lifts and a vast terrain of natural snow much appreciated by insiders. Especially families and relaxed skiers will find it to be the ideal spot to spend some days. The so-called “family Sundays” are always fun and action for the whole family.

Pyhrn-Priel Region is not only the ideal place for skiing, it also offers many other activities such as winter and snowshoe walks, ski tours, cross-country skiing, tobogganing or idyllic horse-carriage rides.
